Photon R&D is a technology and product development company. We research applicable technologies and incorporate this knowledge into practical design solutions for our valued clients. We provide both engineering development solutions and contracted fabrication and manufacturing capabilities through our manufacturing partner Photon Control Inc.

There are a number of ways that Photon R&D generates revenue:

1. Customer-driven product developments and engineering analysis on a contractual basis. Examples include:

•  contracted development of a novel silicon wafer scanning system that detects wafer processing anomalies and
•  optical design and mechanical modeling of a defect recognition system for thin film solar panel fabrication

2. Research and development of novel technologies and products that meet specific customer needs.  These products are typically developed and sold on an OEM basis.  Manufacturing is outsourced to a qualified business partner.
3. Licensing of our technologies to 3rd parties and royalties derived from licensing agreements.
4. Contracted engineering, product and field support.
